Tracing a line back to Charlemagne is generally the holy grail of Genealogical research. Not, that it's the hardest things to do, but that one can generally only get there by connecting to royalty. Every royal house in Europe and Russia have connections to him. Statistically, most everyone alive is related to Charlemagne somehow...the game is to prove how you get there! The other reason people like to get to Charlemagne, is because he tried to create a genealogy back to Adam and Eve. I have included four or five different ways people try to show a way to Adam and Eve, but they are all, of course, simply a fun exercise and can't really be taken seriously by showing any supporting evidence.
